Aegisub Karaoke Effect Collection A collection of 30 karaoke effects for Aegisub. It can be used with MIDI files or to demonstrate the karaoke effect. Karaoke has become one of the most popular forms of entertainment among people who want to mix musical styles and genres, but don't have the time, money, or knowledge to learn how to sing. This can be attributed in part to music programs like iTunes that allow you to download songs with tracks without having any knowledge on how they were created or why they sound good. Karaoke programs, unlike other music programs, however, do not load music into the system. Instead the user is provided with a list of songs to choose from, and if desired, lyrics to accompany the song. With these factors in mind, Karaoke has taken on a role as an art form all its own, where people can express themselves musically without having to spend time studying music theory or perfecting their singing voice. This has created a market for karaoke programs that are capable of modifying existing MIDI files into karaoke effects that can be used along with lyrics to produce a full vocal track. The most popular of these are QTractor by Qt Company and Aegisub by Aegisub Team. The purpose of this article is to provide the reader with a collection of 30 karaoke effects for Aegisub. The author does not expect them to be used to replace professional quality effects, but instead as a means for demonstrating the flexibility of the karaoke effect. The first twenty are intended to demonstrate how certain sounds can be added or removed from pre-existing MIDI files, allowing you to create your own style without having to create your own MIDI files from scratch. The remaining ten are intended for creating custom vocal tracks using instrumental music, allowing you to have your favorite songs without having to play them yourself. One of the core features of a karaoke program is its ability to modify MIDI files. One of the most fundamental effects you can add to a MIDI file is a pitch shifter, or “Transformer effect” for short. In this effect, the pitch will change based on the volume, so it does not matter which note you play on keyboard 1. This allows you to experiment with how different instruments have different timbres and dynamics at any given time in a song. Aegisub is capable of many effects that manipulate and morph the timbre and tone of instruments in order to create unique instruments and timbres that sound like nothing else possible in QTractor or elsewhere. A similar effect can be found in KXStudio's kXsampler plug-in using the built-in Audio Drum module. The most common of these are reverb, delay, chorus, and phaser effects. These are produced by applying pre-recorded audio to the input signal of an audio track. The most common of these is reverb which can be thought of as a more realistic sounding echo or bounce back in the dry signal. Another very basic effect in this list is compression. This can be thought of as temporarily raising or lowering the volume in order to create a different sound. eccc085e13
